How I Learned to Channel, Part 4 of 4

pendulumA couple of years later, I learned Dowsing for Health-Happiness-Harmony, which gives a format of up to 13 basic questions developed by Anneliese Gabriele Hagemann to clarify and resolve the root cause of any issue or imbalance.

I know people usually think of dowsing in terms of finding where to drill water wells, a very useful skill, but dowsing is actually an umbrella term for getting a clear “yes” or “no” signal in response to a question.

I was working diligently with this new tool to improve my life experience, having been accurately told “It’s like a muscle. The more you use it, the better you’ll get with it.”

Only I had started to hear words in response to my questions, words I wanted to make sure I’d hear right.

So I dowsed on the accuracy of each word as it came, one at a time, until I finally heard, “Just put the pen down and write.”

And so I did.

Eventually, I began sharing this ability with others whenever it seemed the best way to help them deal with life challenges, and when it has seemed helpful for groups of people overall to hear particular messages from non-physical beings.

I still look to additional forms of intuition to cross-check for accuracy, and to specific feedback from observers for confirmation.

Yet I know that being all of who I am includes being “the messenger,” and I have come to love it.

I get to learn and feel so much that I wouldn’t otherwise.

And to see the positive impact this has on others is the best part of all!

So it is deeply satisfying and exciting to me to be able to share the channeling in my first two books, The Third Mary: 55 Messages for Empowering Truth, Peace & Grace from the Mother of Mary Magdalene, and Goddess Heart Rising: Paintings, Poems & Meditations for Activating Your Divine Potential, my in-person intuitive work, and through whatever additional means my larger self requests of me.

So please – comment, question, request topics. The “messenger” in me needs you too – to learn and grow and satisfy my sense of purpose by serving the larger good.

And commit to, uncover and build upon your own innate gifts, to increase your own sense of purpose, and benefit the rest of us too!

How I Learned to Channel, Part 3 of 4

smiling man 1I know a common question people have with channeling is “How do you know it’s not just you?”

When you use your ability to sense energy, you can clearly tell when the energy is not your own. You may share information you couldn’t possibly have known, verablize things in a much different way than usual, use mannerisms and expressions distinctly different to those around you, whose feedback can be confirming.

In the healing session I described in my previous post, I was given a message to share (I always ask – is this message for this person? And if so, is it for me to share it with him or her?) that I absolutely did NOT want to give.

Yet it was made clear to me that my job was to deliver it.

With a tightly clenched throat, at the session’s completion, I told this man what I had seen and heard.

To my surprise, he didn’t bat an eyelash. He simply nodded his head, taking it in.

A year later, he told me that hearing this message was one of the two best things that had happened that year, the other being meeting the woman who later became his wife.

So it was a healing for me too. I learned to not judge the messages, simply do my part by delivering them with positive intent, as clearly as I could, and to consistently deliver them.

But I certainly wasn’t going looking for messages, except those related to healing myself on all levels.

campanulasTo heal from a health challenge, I’d had to explore my previously unbeknownst to me spirituality, and discover energetic healing.


When I learned LaHo-Chi (which stands for love, light and wisdom moving through the horizontal/Earth plan to work with your chi/life force energy), it brought this type of ability forward.

When the LaHo-Chi energy is invoked, the facilitator moves quickly and easily into a state of expanded perception, in which visions and/or messages for oneself and/or the recipient of the healing session may become available.

LaHo-Chi energy is also known for helping to bringing one’s natural psychic gifts forward.

I experienced visions and messages pretty much every time, and frankly, I wasn’t very comfortable with this, being anxious about perceiving, remembering and conveying these messages and visions correctly.

Then a fellow healer came over to receive one of my “practice sessions.”

To be quite blunt, he came in whining – not about any particular complaint, but of life in general.

He quickly relaxed into the session, however, and all proceeded as usual. Including my experience of inner images and messages.

In this case, I saw a “Charlie The Tuna”-like cartoon figure who clearly said, “Quit your whining!”

Now how could I deliver this message that seemed so offensive and that I agreed with?

How I Learned to Channel, Part 1 of 4

Empyrean_smallFirst off, I have to say you can’t be alive without channeling, in the sense that you are more than a body combined with a set of experiences and genetic codes. There is a larger, more encompassing you, and this larger you knows itself as part of a larger, more encompassing Universe than what is typically perceived solely through physical perception.

One might describe it as channeling, i.e. bringing through, the aspects of the All, the Oneness, the Totality, that you came to present on the physical plane.

And these aspects may include a predisposition to consciously bring through, i.e. channel, a wider range of aspects, whether this be through the arts and/or channeled writing or speaking.

Don’t get me wrong – everyone has the potential to channel. And just as with any talent or skill, it does come more easily to some than others. And it can be learned and developed.

I didn’t come in “with the lights on,” so to speak. And though bits of psychic experiences did occur in my childhood, (not the dramatic kind, but more to do with precognition around, yes, food, and relationships), like most of us, I did not grow up in a society or setting that gave credence to the intuitive side of life.

It wasn’t until I was in my 30’s that this part of me opened up.

I was with a group of friends watching a videotape on interdimensional communication by university professor Heather Harder.

She was running in the 2000 U.S. presidential election and was motivated to create this video by the belief that if she got more people to learn that “talking to dead people” as she put it, can be normal and natural, her doing so wouldn’t seem so strange.

They were simple exercises, each begun with a brief, clear statement of intent, starting with sensing the energies of other people in the room, and leading up to channeled writing and speaking.

We paused the tape at each activity to practice, and all six of us found we were able to do each one, every time.

So I don’t think it’s so hard or impossible to learn. Yet I will say, I don’t think I could have done this too easily in my earlier life.

All peoples exist with a level of conflict in their beings;

all peoples yearn for a future better than their past;

all peoples suffer from a  lack of trust in some area of their lives;

all peoples have an innate desire to grow, stretch and express themselves in this sphere called living.

 

In truth, we all yearn for Home, yet rarely glimpse it while embodied here.

If we could taste that sweetness more regularly while in the physical, this balm could uplift our hearts and souls in such a way that we could expand our good and the good of the whole limitlessly!!!!!!!

 

And we can.

 

Sink into the knowing that I am sharing with you now.

 

Regardless of the trials and travails you may have faced or are facing currently, you can smell the sweetness of Heaven, for it is embedded in your soul.

 

You can taste the sweetness of Heaven for it is available NOW.

 

You can feel the sweetness of Heaven for you were made to claim it.

 

Allow yourself to absorb this nourishment regularly and the seeds within your soul will sprout and grow ’til you can begin to recognize the emerging fruits of your story, the story we have all come to share in and be part of, the story you have come to create in this, your Earth Home.

 

Heaven is denied to no one. It is up to you to open the doorway of your awareness so that you may experience it NOW, and build upon it, to truly create Heaven as Earth.

 

I am Mary of Niza, Mother to the Lady Mary Magdalene and Keeper of the Flame of Union Within All!!!!!!!

And I love you throughout and beyond Eternity.
