Reflecting on the Light and the Dark

I have to say, though it makes a whole lot of sense, I haven’t often increased my awareness of the Light before dealing with its apparent absence, (see previous post for an excerpt from the Third Mary’s message on this) although I did regularly make use of one particularly helpful such practice some years back when I was having spontaneous recollections of some very challenging past life experiences.

As soon as I would realize I was starting to go down this type of  “memory lane,” I’d call upon my awareness of two of my biggest spiritual teachers – Kuan Yin,  known as the Chinese Goddess of Compassion, or She Who Hears the Cries of the World, and Jesus the Christ.

I’d have Christ hold my left hand and Kuan Yin hold my right, and regardless of how horrific these memories seemed to me, I could always feel them with me and know I was all right.

If you don’t have one already, I highly recommend developing some kind of positive spiritual support practice for yourself, so when you feel you’re in some sort of a jam, you know you’ve got help with you.
